2009 National Leadership Conference Report

The FBLA National Leadership Conference was held in Anaheim, California this June 25th-29th. This year, our adviser, Mrs. Curry and five students "Got the Edge" by attending fun-filled FBLA events and exploring the great town of Anaheim - home of Disneyland, great beachs, etc. Kerr FBLA was represented well at the national level.
For the second time in two years, and in Kerr FBLA's 15 year history, a member has placed in the top-10 at Nationals. Sonny Nguyen placed 4th in Personal Finance! Congratulations to all of our members!
2009 State Leadership Conference Report
Kerr FBLA enjoying the 2009 SLC in Ft. Worth, Texas!
The FBLA State Leadership Conference was held in Ft. Worth on April 23rd-25th. Over 30 FBLA members had a blast by partcipating in powerful workshops and competitive events. During the opening ceremony, they listened to the intriguing words of keynote speaker John Beede, and afterwards had an awesome time at an amusement park.
On Saturday, 17 students went on to win awards at the State level! Kerr FBLA, as a whole, "shifted into a higher gear".
2009 Area V Leadership Conference Report

The FBLA Area V Leadership Conference was held at Seven Lakes High School on March 7th. 40 FBLA members partcipated in powerful workshops and competitive events. 27 students went on to win awards at the Area level! After the awards ceremony, Kerr FBLA hosted a social at a local park with snacks and fun [but challenging] activities.
2008 National Leadership Conference Report

The FBLA National Leadership Conference was held in Atlanta, Georgia this June 26th-30th. This year, our adviser, Mrs. Curry and eight students had a blast attending FBLA events and exploring the great town of Atlanta. Kerr FBLA was represented well at the national level.
At the NLC, our chapter won The Gold Seal Chapter Award for Merit. This award recognizes outstanding local chapters that have actively participated in projects and programs identified with the goals of FBLA. Secondly, Amir Nik-Ahd made it to the top 15 in his competition, Future Business Leader. This competition is the most prestigious offered by FBLA, where Amir competed against state officers and national officer candidates. Lastly, for the first time in Kerr FBLA's history, a member has placed in the top-10 at Nationals. Khoi Trinh won 1st in Business Calculations, which came with a $750 check! Congratulations to all of our members!
